Perpetual Mechanical Array Origins Theory|Genshin Impact|Contains Spoilers!

In the relatively new Genshin Impact update, Inazuma was released — the land of Electro ruled over by the ominous “Raiden Shogun.” We learn, after fighting her while saving Thoma and his vision, that Raiden Shogun is her nonphysical puppet, and her real name is Ei, who, supposedly, meditates in her Plane of Euthymia for eternity. In Chapter I, Act IV, Bough Keeper: Dainsleif we learn Ruin Guards, or “Field Tillers,” were created by the people of the godless Khaenri’ah. And, as everyone knows, other ruin enemies (Ruin Hunter, Ruin Grader, Ruin Cruisers, Ruin Destroyers, etc.) have the word ruin starting them. They also have the same brown theme, with orange effects like eyes. Their attacks are orange. Quite obviously, they have the same theme and similarities.

The Perpetual Mechanical Array is a larger ruin machine, with stronger attacks and is considered a boss. It drops Perpetual Hearts as drops and artifact sets, etc. In the Adventurer’s Handbook, on the Enemies tab, if you go to Perpetual Mechanical Array, it explains, in exact words, “A strange, alien machine. They say it is a war machine left behind by a nation that has already been destroyed. Composed of several different parts, it can adapt to its combat environment and employ a variety of attacks. This machine, comprised of cubic shapes, is on some level very much like the elemental hypostases.

Back to Chapter I, Act IV, Bough Keeper: Dainsleif, he says Khaenri’ah had already fallen and been destroyed by the gods Barbatos and Morax. In the Adventurer’s Handbook description, it shows that the Perpetual Mechanical Array is, most likely, Khaenri’ah’s creation. Since Dainsleif says the Ruin Guards were like secret weapons, it is most likely the other Ruin Creations were. He says the Ruin Guards wandered for years and went out of control. This may be the case, as he explains they scattered. Ruin Guards, Graders, and Hunters could have gone to Mondstadt and Liyue. Maybe during the attack on Khaenri’ah, they went separate ways; Ruin Sentinels went one and Humanoid Ruins went another.

But more questions are, why is the Perpetual Mechanical Array under the ground? Some theories say Khaenri’ah used to be what is now Dragonspine, so if so, how did Ruin Sentinels and the Mechanical Array get to Inazuma if it is an island? Did Khaenri’ah connect to Inazuma and Liyue/Dragonspine? If you find any theories, please, contact me! I hope you didn’t find my stupid theory too boring, and, well, bye!
